West Virginia CB Daryl Worley suspended indefinitely

West Virginia sophomore CB Daryl Worley has been suspended indefinitely.

The school announced his suspension Monday evening. Worley has been an important player for the West Virginia defense through the first three games of the season. He has 17 tackles, third-best on the team, and has two interceptions. One was Saturday against Maryland and the other came in the first game of the season against Alabama.

His suspension comes at an inopportune time for the Mountaineers as well. They host Oklahoma and QB Trevor Knight on Saturday. According to WVSports.com, Ishmael Banks could start in Worley's place. Banks was suspended for the first three games of the season. In August, coach Dana Holgorsen said Banks had an academic issue but that the suspension was team imposed.

Worley was a three-star recruit in the class of 2013 according to Rivals. He played in 11 games last season as a freshman and had 45 tackles and an interception.
