Recruiting is weird.
Coaches will go to extreme lengths to land a top prospect, and a recent trend shows programs photoshopping recruits onto magazine covers. Most of the time, the player will be superimposed onto a cover of a sports magazine like Sports Illustrated with a headline about the player leading a program to prominence.
Wake Forest took a different approach with three-star defensive end Kengera Daniel.

Yup. This is weird.
That’s Daniel on a fake cover of People Magazine with Kim Kardashian being touted as “pop culture’s newest power couple.” They even have a “KimGera” nickname like Kardashian does with her husband Kanye West (KimYe).
The cover also touts the ACC as the “real power conference.” Also, don’t miss the program-building feature with Dave Clawson!
This is even weirder than Tennessee Beyoncé cover for Shy Tuttle from last month.

Daniel, the 16th-best weakside defensive end in the 2015 class, also has offers from schools like Alabama, Florida State, Michigan and Tennessee, so he’d be a great pull if Wake Forest was able to land a commitment. And if Wake does get Daniel’s signature, the Kardashian cover will undoubtedly be the reason why.
