Penn State lineman blocks his teammate on failed fourth down attempt (Video)

Nothing has gone right for Penn State during its homecoming game against Northwestern Saturday afternoon. Things got so bad that on a fourth down play in the fourth quarter (while already trailing 23-6), one of Penn State’s linemen blocked his own man.

Yes, Penn State pulled a Florida!

Take a look at this epic moment of ineptitude as guard Brian Gaia (No. 72) blocks tackle Andrew Nelson (No. 59).

Despite starting 4-0, the Nittany Lions have struggled to run the football all season behind a line that lacks experience and depth.

Coming into the game, the Nittany Lions were 108th in the country in rushing yards per game. After a day where PSU has averaged just two yards per carry, that number will surely get worse.
