Tragedy struck the Cincinnati program for the second consecutive season when Bearcats freshman running back Chamoda Kennedy-Palmore died in a motorcycle accident Thursday afternoon.
To honor Kennedy-Palmore, head coach Tommy Tuberville announced on Twitter that the 2-0 Bearcats would wear “CKP” helmet decals for Saturday night’s showdown at Ohio State. The decals will remain on the team’s helmets for the rest of the season as well.

— Tommy Tuberville (@TTuberville) September 27, 2014 The 19-year-old Kennedy-Palmore was riding his motorcycle around 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon when he was struck by an SUV. The walk-on redshirt freshman was taken to the hospital after the accident, where he was pronounced dead.
Ohio State announced Thursday night that a moment of silence would be held for Kennedy-Palmore prior to kickoff.
It’s a tough blow for the Cincy program – a program that lost another player, offensive lineman Ben Flick, in a car accident just over a year ago.
The team wore a similar helmet decal for Flick last season.
