Report: Maryland WR Stefon Diggs nursing midsection injury

Maryland receiver Stefon Diggs, who was suspended by the Big Ten on Monday, could miss more than just the Michigan State game on Nov.15.

According to the Baltimore Sun, which cited sources, Diggs is nursing a midsection injury he suffered during the fourth quarter of the loss to Penn State. Diggs stayed on the ground for a long time after the hit, which occurred while diving for the end zone, but he did return to the game.

Diggs will already miss the Michigan State game thanks to a Big Ten-imposed suspension, which was punishment for the pregame skirmish with Penn State when Maryland players, led by Diggs, refused to shake the hands of Penn State players prior to the contest.

Diggs leads the Terps in catches (52), receiving yards (654) and receiving touchdowns (five).
