We are going to have a chance to see a Bielemastache.
Arkansas announced Monday that coaches from the school would be growing mustaches in November as part of a "Staches for Slive" campaign. SEC Commissioner Mike Slive announced his retirement in October and also announced that he was being treated for a recurrence of prostate cancer.
Over the last few years, November has been known as "Movember" or "No-shave November" and many men grow facial hair throughout the month for men's cancer awareness.
Including football coach Bret Bielema, eight other members of the Arkansas athletic department are participating. Other participants will be announced as well.
The school has also created a StachesforSlive.com site that will host weekly update pictures of all the participants' facial hair. Fans will have the opportunity to vote for the person with the best mustache. (The answer is and will be Bielema)
The first 100 people to donate $100 or more to the campaign benefitting the Rockefeller Cancer Institute through the site will also receive tickets to an event with the participants before a basketball game on November 30.
