B.J Catalon, TCU's top RB, has not practiced this week

Could TCU be without its top rusher on Saturday?

Horned Frogs head coach Gary Paterson said Wednesday that tailback B.J. Catalon has not been able to practice at all this week. According to the Star-Telegram, the junior took a hard hit “to the upper torso” late in the win over West Virginia and struggled to the sideline.

Per PurpleMenace.com, Catalon is listed as questionable for the sixth-ranked Horned Frogs’ home showdown with No. 7 Kansas State Saturday night.

Through eight games, Catalon has 493 yards and 10 touchdowns along with 14 catches for 163 yards and a score. If he can’t go, that’d be a big loss for the high-powered TCU offense. Junior Aaron Green (45 rushes, 378 yards, 3 TDs) would likely start in his place.

Kansas State (7-1) sits atop the Big 12 currently with a perfect 5-0 conference record. TCU (7-1) and Baylor (7-1) are next in the conference standings at 4-1, but the Bears’ Oct. 11 win over TCU gives them the tiebreaker.

Saturday night’s game is huge for TCU’s chances of winning the Big 12 and earning a spot in the top four of the College Football Playoff rankings.
