'Fire Al Golden' banner flies over Sun Life Stadium during Miami's game (Photo)

The Al Golden welcome wagon has officially crashed.

A banner that read “FIRE AL GOLDEN SAVE THE U” flew over Sun Life Stadium during Saturday’s game against Cincinnati.

Miami is 3-3 this season, but are 1-2 in conference play and have just one win against an FBS team with a winning record.

Up until this season, Golden’s teams had gotten better during each season, but he’s fallen far short of expectations to return Miami to its former championship-winning self.

About a month ago, a disgruntled Miami fan set up a GoFundMe campaign asking fans to donate funds to fly a “Fire Al Golden” banner above Sun Life Stadium during a home game. The campaign has since been taken down.

No word on who is responsible for the banner, it bears the hashtag #westendzone, but if it isn’t the guy who started the campaign, he’s probably going to be disappointed someone beat him to it.
