There are a few things that define fall camp — high expectations, crippling injuries, quarterback controversies and, of course, Mark Richt’s high dive.
Every fall camp the Georgia football team gets a trip to the pool and every year Richt does an incredibly awkward backflip off the high dive much to the delight of his team.
Richt once said in an interview that he started learning how to backflip when he and his buddies would go to the pool and all the girls would watch his friend do backflips while they ignored him doing regular dives. That’s where his love of the backflip was born.

It’s not pretty — he basically just falls backward — but it is entertaining.
