While the college football world waited for quarterback Cardale Jones to make a much-anticipated decision on his future — he ultimately decided to stay at Ohio State rather than pursue a career in the NFL — his teammates were having a little fun at his expense on Twitter.
Roommate Tyvis Powell didn’t care what Jones was planning do with his future so long as he didn’t get stuck paying all the rent.
Whether 12 go or stay, Rent is still due on the 1st and I'm gone have my half!

Powell also was a little upset that he didn’t know which way Jones was leaning prior to the announcement.
12 could've let me know what the decision was. I'm his father and his roommate for Christ sake. You think you know a guy....

Linebacker Darron Lee also got in on the fun by teasing Jones about the way he was announcing his decision.
What is up with Cleveland guys and decision shows? 😪

"Yo dawg...make your decision on TV..." http://ift.tt/1yoG22F

Following Jones’ decision to stay in school, both teammates took to Twitter to offer their congratulations.
The rent is SAFE!!!!

I wasn't worried about it. Everybody know @CJ12_ and I are a package deal! Lol

Moral of the story: Stay in school kids...they can't take your degree away from you

How could Jones have possibly thought of leaving these guys early?
