Washington State’s rough season got even rougher when star senior quarterback Connor Halliday went down with a broken leg against USC on Nov. 1, ending his career. Entering the game, Halliday led the country with 3,833 passing yards and 32 touchdowns.
To honor his efforts with the Cougars, someone paid for a billboard in Spokane, Wash., his hometown, thanking him for his great career.

Halliday finished his career with 11,308 yards and 90 touchdowns and set an NCAA record earlier in the 2014 season with 734 passing yards against Cal.
Overall, the Cougars went 3-9 on the season and lost three of their last four games – including the USC game – with Halliday on the sideline.
