Kansas has done all it can to try to pull off the upset against TCU, including a spectacular touchdown catch by receiver Nigel King.
King was on the right sideline when a pass from quarterback Michael Cummings was tipped out of his hands. However, King alertly stayed with the play, tipped the ball a couple times to himself, hauled it in, tiptoed the sideline, and outraced the defense for the 78-yard score.
It was definitely one of the best catches we’ve seen all season.
At the time, the score gave the Jayhawks a 27-17 lead with 8:27 remaining in the third quarter. But the good feelings were short-lived.
TCU scored two consecutive touchdowns, including a punt return for a score, to take a 31-27 lead late in the third.
