If you’ve ever wanted to see how the media watches an Alabama football game, now is your chance.
Alabama is auctioning off a chance to watch next week’s game against Western Carolina from the perch of the press box. The package includes four reserved press box seats, pregame meal, all of the materials the press gets, four gameday programs and a chance to meet Eli Gold and the other members of the Tide’s radio crew.
Currently, one fan is ready to pay $475 for the experience.
Here’s are details from the listing:
Have you ever wanted to experience a football game from the press box? This is your chance to experience the Western Carolina game as a media guest. On November 22, 2014 you and three guests will be able to watch the game from press level, receive all pre-game press materials, and eat with the media in the Bryant-Denny Stadium Press Room.
The media is probably super excited to share this space with some fans. Kinda flies in the face of the whole no cheering in the press boxes tenet. I’ll be the first to say there’s nothing particularly exception about the press box except that it’s away from the elements. But hey, if you have several hundred dollars to spend on a game against Western Carolina then why not try something different?.
