Florida cancelled its weekly press conference about 45 minutes before it was scheduled to begin. The university is expected to address the situation later Monday afternoon.
Harris, a freshman, helped the Gators to a 10-9 win against Tennessee last weekend. Harris led the Gators on their only two scoring drives, including the game-winning field goal, after replacing ineffective quarterback Jeff Driskel.
Coach Will Muschamp didn’t say whether Harris would be the starter going forward, but did note that quarterbacking situation would be evaluated this week.
Florida hosts LSU this week.
