The “T” has gone missing from Lane Stadium — again.
Virginia Tech fans rolled up to Lane Stadium for Saturday’s game only to see the “T” in Stadium had been pried off the wall.
While Georgia Tech faithful have not claimed ownership of the prank, this is a time-honored tradition by students at the school. According to lore, Georgia Tech students have been stealing the "T" from the Tech Tower on their campus since the 1960s, but in recent years, the prank has been made part of this rivalry when Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech meet in Blacksburg, Va.
Unfortunately, the last time Georgia Tech pulled this prank in 2012, its team lost 20-17 in overtime.
