After your team rolls up 70 points on an in-state rival in a four-touchdown win, you're allowed to do some bragging as a fan.
And sometimes, that bragging can be a bit expensive.
Here's an ECU-themed billboard boasting about the Pirates' 70-41 win. The game was Saturday, so the guess here is that the billboard design was in production before the game. Add the final score, and voilà.

Until the campaign was ended this year, North Carolina State had a campaign that said "This is Our State." (You can see the reference in this Russell Wilson billboard here.) If anything, it really is East Carolina's state at this point. Or Duke's. The Blue Devils are the last FBS North Carolina football team to go to a conference championship.
