Eastern Illinois player ejected after hitting Minnesota lineman in a sensitive area (Video)

When you play for Eastern Illinois, unless you make some sort of amazing highlight play, you’re probably not going to get a whole lot of publicity – especially when your team is getting trounced on the road at Minnesota.

This is an exception.

Facing a big second half deficit, EIU junior linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill was apparently not too thrilled with the play of Minnesota senior guard Zac Epping, so he gave him a little nudge in a place where no man wants to be hit.

Grugier-Hill was promptly ejected by the officials, and rightly so. Usually that kind of cheap shot comes with some sort of subtlety, but not in this instance.

Even though a starting lineman had a sore groin, Minnesota went on to win the game, 42-14.
