Police reportedly called to disturbance at J.T. Barrett's apartment

Columbus, Ohio, police were reportedly called to an incident at the apartment of Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett on Tuesday.

According to the police report, obtained by WSYX 6 in Columbus, a woman, Alexandria Barrett-Clark, identified as Barrett's girlfriend refused to leave his apartment after he told her to do so. Barrett said she "ran at him and pushed him."

From WSYX 6:

Barrett says Barrett-Clark hit him. In the report, he says he pushed her away in self-defense, which caused her to fall to a bed. Barrett says he again asked her to leave. Again, he says, she refused.

Barrett-Clark says she told Barrett that she would leave in the morning.

She told police that Barrett confronted her in his bedroom and "choked her on the bed." She said Barrett used his forearm to apply pressue to her neck before taking her phone away from her.

Barrett-Clark told police she managed to get away from Barrett and call police.

According to police, both had no visible injuries and refused treatment. No arrests were made.

Barrett is currently recovering from surgery for a broken right ankle he suffered against Michigan in the last week of the regular season. Cardale Jones started for the Buckeyes in the Big Ten Championship Game and thanks to Ohio State's impressive performance in the game, the Buckeyes will play Alabama in the Sugar Bowl on January 1.

Before suffering the broken ankle, Barrett was a contender to be invited to New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony on Saturday. He finished with 45 total touchdowns, 938 rushing yards and 2.834 passing yards.
