Minnesota's Maxx Williams' toe drag was so good his catch was first called incomplete (GIFs)

Maxx Williams is having himself a heck of a day against Iowa.

Minnesota's sophomore tight end has two touchdowns in the first half, but his best catch of the day was on a pass near the sideline that was originally called incomplete.

If you watch the play at full speed, you think there's no way that Williams got his feet down on the 3rd-and-7 pass attempt. Heck, it looks like he's not even protesting very much when the pass is ruled incomplete.

But watch his left toe on the replays in slow-motion. Williams did an incredible job of somehow keeping his left toe on the ground as he extends to catch the football.

Since you only need to have one foot down in college football for a completion, the incomplete pass call was overturned and Minnesota got a first down.

Through the first 30 minutes of Minnesota's blowout of Iowa, Williams has four catches for 43 yards and the two touchdowns. He now has six touchdowns on the season.
