The pivotal Big 12 matchup between TCU and West Virginia got a little chippy early after TCU defensive end Josh Carraway tackled West Virginia quarterback Clint Trickett by his facemask.
The strangest part of this open-field tackle?
There was no flag.
Nope. Nothing. Not even a second glance.
In the eyes of the Big 12 refs, this was a completely legal play and not the 15-yard facemask penalty it deserved.
The refs in the Pac-12 tend to get a lot of heat for some of their poor calls, but this one was so obvious, it’s hard to believe it was missed.
