Arizona registered the best upset of the season so far when it knocked off No. 2 Oregon on the road Thursday night. It was the second straight season the Wildcats spoiled a potential undefeated season for the Ducks, and predictably, the scene in the locker room after the win was joyous.
Head coach Rich Rodriguez was certainly fired up.
“You can do anything you put your mind to when you work your (butt) off. And guess what? You think they ain’t partying in Tucson, Arizona?” he said.
The 31-24 win improved Rodriguez’s squad to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in Pac-12 play. The Thursday night game gives the team an extra few days to prepare for next Saturday’s home contest with No. 16 USC.
