Today is a sad day for college football fans everywhere as Erin Andrews will no longer be covering the sport.
I’ll give you a moment to digest that and compose yourself.
According to SI.com's Richard Deitsch, Andrews' move to the No. 1 sideline reporter for Fox’s NFL coverage means that she will not be available for college football duties. Andrews had been the host of Fox Sports 1’s college football pregame show last year.
Those who have followed Andrews’ career know she made a name for herself as a college football sideline reporter with ESPN. She was assigned to ESPN’s and ABC’s top games and even hosted the first hour of ESPN’s College GameDay program on ESPNU before her move to Fox.
Earlier this week, Fox announced that Andrews would become the network’s top NFL sideline reporter replacing stalwart Pam Oliver, who was demoted to the No. 2 role. Andrews will work alongside the crew of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.
