Nebraska fan cited after trying (and failing) to jump over moving cab

Saturday afternoon’s game between Nebraska and Wisconsin may decide the Big Ten’s west division, so fans are pretty fired up. One Nebraska fan, who traveled all the way to Madison, was a little too fired up Friday night.

According to the Wisconsin State-Journal, Bryce Consbruck, a 22-year-old Nebraska fan, was cited for “Sudden Pedestrian Movement” early Saturday morning after “attempting to jump over a moving taxi” shortly after 2 a.m.

Consbruck’s attempted acrobatics did not go well. He missed and sustained facial injuries. Consbruck, who was described as intoxicated, was taken to a local hospital.

The wackiness doesn’t end there. After being cited, officers said Consbruck went on an “expletive laden statement” where he “expressed his desire for the Cornhuskers to defeat the Badgers.”

He also promised to officers that he would “never try and jump over a moving car again.” That’s probably a wise idea, Bryce.

Clemson QB Deshaun Watson suffers knee injury (Video)

Clemson star quarterback Deshaun Watson left Saturday’s game against Georgia Tech with an apparent knee injury following a quarterback draw.

Watson, who was in the midst of his seventh carry, appeared to step awkwardly before falling to the turf and clutching his left knee. He was able to get up and off the field under his own power, but, according to ESPN sideline reporter Jeannine Edwards, the Clemson medical staff did a knee stability test and then told Watson something that made him visibly upset. He was immediately escorted to the locker room.

Senior Cole Stoudt replaced Watson and threw a pick-six two plays later.

Watson was in his first game back since suffering a broken hand against Louisville in early October and there was a positive feeling that Watson could keep Clemson in the hunt for a top-tier bowl. During his brief time in the game, Watson had either run or pass the ball on 14 of the Tigers’ 18 plays. He left the game completing 5-of-7 passes for 27 yards and had 40 rushing yards.

Following the Stoudt pick and the news that his knee injury might be severe, Watson gave a look that was representative of the feelings of many Clemson fans.
