Oklahoma safety Hatari Byrd was cited by Norman Police following an incident early Saturday morning.
According to the Tulsa World, the 20-year-old Byrd was cited “on complaints of possession of drug paraphernalia by a minor and possession of alcohol by a minor.” He was pulled over after being observed “driving left and of the center line and right of lane markers and speeding” after 2 a.m. on January 24.
After being pulled over, Byrd was found to be in possession of a small bag of marijuana in the driver’s seat. There was also a bottle of Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey “in the passenger floorboard.”
Byrd was cited for two misdemeanor offenses and then “released from the scene.”

As a freshman in 2013, Byrd played in five games and had three tackles.
