How far does TCU coach Gary Patterson walk during games?

Ever wondered how much distance TCU coach Gary Patterson covers during a game? We now have a good idea.

Ashley Stamp, a student manager for TCU in 2014, posted the following distances from her pedometer on Tuesday. Stamp was one of the managers assigned to Patterson on game days, so she went wherever he went. Behold the results:

How much does Coach P walk per game? I wore a pedometer this year as I assisted him :) @TCUSID @TCUFootball #gofrogs http://ift.tt/1uAJELg

If you're familiar with TCU's schedule, you'll immediately notice a correlation between the closeness and/or significance of the game with the distance that was covered. The three most-traveled games were against Baylor (TCU's only loss of the season), at West Virginia (a nailbiting win) and the Peach Bowl against Ole Miss. The two most stationary games were TCU's 82-27 win over Texas Tech and the Horned Frogs' 55-3 win over Iowa State.

Now we need to start tracking the pounds rowed by the man in charge of taming Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables.
