Hanover College was playing Earlham in a Division III game when Hanover QB Chase Lightfoot threw a deep pass to WR Tanner Parker, who had a step on double coverage down the field. The pass was underthrown, but instead of being intercepted, it ricocheted off a defender's heel and into the air.
Ricky Windell, a receiver for Hanover, was behind the pass, and he snatched it out of the air and ran it in for a 70-yard touchdown. Yes. Really. The play is absolutely incredible, but we don't think that schools are going to start throwing at defenders' feet in the hopes of more completions like it.
Hanover won the game 49-34.
