Coaches and programs across the country have been participating in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, releasing videos to raise awareness and encourage donations to the ALS Foundation. Most of them have been pretty standard, but Kliff Kingsbury and Texas Tech raised the stakes to an entirely new level on Friday.
After challenging some Tech alums who are now in the NFL, Kingsbury, rocking his customary sunglasses and gelled hair, threw out a challenge to “the one and only, the incomparable BeyoncĂ©.”
Kingsbury then unveils a hilarious “Beyonce is Bae” t-shirt and has the ice water dumped onto his head. Seconds later, the entire team begins to dump water on one another and then a guy with a giant hose on a crane drenches the team as well.
Although Utah State soaking its entire coaching staff and Colorado challenging President Obama were pretty good, this has to be the best college football ice bucket challenge so far.
Also, if you ever needed further evidence that Kingsbury is the coolest coach in college football, add and the note he sent an adoring fan, to the list.
Kingsbury's Red Raiders open up the season at home against Central Arkansas on August 30.
